We collect information you provide, information collected automatically while using the app, and information from third-party services you choose to connect.

4.1 Information you provide

  • Account details: name, email, password, phone number, address, ZIP code, company data, and referral codes (if provided)
  • Client data: client names, addresses, notes, and related business information you enter
  • Expense data: amounts, categories, dates, notes, and receipt images/files you upload
  • Task and checklist data: titles, notes, and completion status
  • Feedback and support messages you submit

4.2 Information collected automatically

  • Precise location data (GPS): including latitude/longitude, timestamp, accuracy, speed, heading, and movement/activity type
  • Trip data derived from location: routes, segments, start/end locations, duration, distance, stops
  • Device data: device model, OS version, app version, time zone
  • Usage and diagnostics data: app events, errors, and performance logs
  • Offline cache data: stored on your device for sync reliability

4.3 Information from third parties

  • Authentication identifiers from sign-in providers (e.g., Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, Firebase Authentication)
  • Payment and subscription data processed by our payment provider (Stripe, In App Purchase with RevenueCat), such as customer and subscription IDs
  • Map, directions, and geocoding results provided by mapping services (e.g., Google Maps Platform)

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

7. Location data and background tracking

Tiktraq requires location access to provide core trip tracking features.

  • When tracking is active (or when auto-trip detection is enabled), Tiktraq collects precise location in the foreground and background.
  • Location data is used to detect trip start/stop, calculate distances, map routes, and generate reports.
  • You can stop location collection by turning off trip tracking, disabling auto-trip detection, or revoking location permissions in your device settings.
  • If the device is offline, location data may be stored locally and uploaded when connectivity returns.

8. Sharing and disclosure

We share information only as necessary to provide the Services or comply with law.

8.1 Service providers

We use service providers to operate the app and may share data with them for those purposes, including:

  • Cloud infrastructure and storage providers (for app data and receipt files)
  • Authentication providers (Firebase Authentication, Google, Apple)
  • Payment processing (Stripe, RevenueCat)
  • Mapping and geocoding providers (Google Maps Platform, Apple/Google geocoding)
  • Observability and logging (SigNoz) to measure reliability and performance

These providers are permitted to process data only on our instructions and for the Services.

8.2 Legal requirements

We may disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

8.3 Business transfers

If Tiktraq is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

9. Data retention

We retain personal information as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. We also retain information to comply with legal and accounting obligations. When you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize personal data within 60 days from active systems, and within 180 days from backups, unless retention is required by law.

Trip and expense records may be retained for tax and compliance purposes at your request.

10. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect data, including:

  • Encryption in transit (TLS)
  • Encryption at rest for stored trip and location data
  • Separation of encryption keys from stored data; without keys, stored records cannot be viewed in plaintext
  • Access controls to limit internal access
  • Secure storage on device for sensitive tokens

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal information
  • Export your data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Withdraw consent for location tracking at any time
